The Auxiliary of Foote Hospital
|
|
The mission of WA Foote Hospital Auxiliary is to provide resources and volunteer staff to Foote Health System and its local community partners to assure high quality health care services, health education and preventive health programs. Last years pink ball raised $81,350 to go towards new cancer research equipment and the 2007 goal is $100,000 and the proceeds will go towards purchasing a CT Simulator designed to simplify radiation oncology treatment planning with technological advances in speed and accuracy. The specialty CT has more room for patients to allow better comfort and improved patient set-up and positioning. The new equipment will help reduce the number of radiation oncology pre-planning appointments and time spent at the hospital. The equipment will positively impact the patient experience and improve everyday workflow processes for oncology health care providers. The Auxiliary of Foote Hospital will assist in this important project by donating proceeds from its 2007 Pink Ball to purchase the specialized CT.
